Kevin J. Casey
Managing Director
With over 30 years of experience in energy project development and finance, Kevin is the founder and Managing Director of Beaufort Rosemary LLC, a project development company formed in 2012. Kevin has structured, developed, acquired, managed, and led the financing of over 11 GW of power plants with a capital cost exceeding $10 billion. Kevin previously served as a senior leader in BP’s Treasury and Finance departments. Prior to BP, Kevin was a Managing Director at Sonat, a Vice President with Mitsubishi’s US independent power subsidiary, and started his career as a CPA with Deloitte.
Beaufort Rosemary has developed and sold solar plus storage projects totaling 1.7 GW MW plus 500 MW of battery storage projects in the Southeast and Midwest over the last five years to long term owners, large developers and private equity.
Kevin also leads Beaufort Rosemary’s consulting efforts for a variety of clients in other renewable and clean energy spaces.
Kevin earned an MBA from the University of Southern California, a BA in Economics from Claremont McKenna College, and completed major projects and engineering executive education at MIT.

Dylan J. Casey
Vice President of Development
In May of 2018, Beaufort Rosemary LLC welcomed Dylan Casey to our team. A 2014 graduate of Florida State University, Dylan brings 10 years of management experience, beginning while still in high school and encompassing a wide range of roles and business entities. From graduation until April 2018, he managed restaurant locations with 50+ employees, in Atlanta, Tampa, Houston and Birmingham for J. Alexander’s Restaurants. With BeauRo, Dylan initially led our site acquisition efforts. In his current role as Vice President of Development he leads all aspects of project development ranging from initial site selection, to permitting and environmental, to preliminary site design, to project M&A. He has successfully led the identification and development of over 2 GW of solar and energy storage projects to date.
Dylan lives in Richmond, VA with his wife, Jordan, their perfect new baby Nathaniel and two precious Australian Shepherds, Hobbes and Tato. In their free time, they can be found eating out and working out!

Sean M. Casey-Nelson
GIS Specialist
Sean leads our initial early site identification efforts utilizing industry specific tools and resources in support of the development team. Additionally, Sean helps with research projects which aid in securing project sites and provide insight into current market activity.
Sean holds a Bachelors of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music, with a minor in Economics, from Case Western Reserve University, and earned a Masters of Music in Performance from Arizona State University. Sean’s music world activities can be explored at 89musicstudio.com.
Sean lives in Tacoma, WA with his wife, Marla, and two adorable cats, Huxley and George. He recently completed a very well received textbook of orchestral excerpts for high school student auditions.

Bradley Joyner
Project Developer
Brad assists the development team with research and policy summaries, coordinating with outside consultants, maintaining project schedules and supporting board reporting requirements. Brad holds an undergraduate degree from Chapman University in Political Science as well as a Masters Degree in International Affairs: Natural Resources & Sustainable Development from American University.
Prior to joining us, Brad worked as Climate Change Consultant for Environmental Resources Management, Inc. where he provided support in legislative and regulatory policy tracking, analysis, and strategic recommendations to help clients navigate increasingly complex regulatory environments.
Born and raised in Tacoma, WA Brad has taught English at a university in China, and served in the Peace Corps in Tonga. Brad can also be found playing rugby and discovering the best eats in Richmond.

Azmar Middleton
Project Developer
Azmar joined Beaufort Rosemary in November of 2022. He currently assists in multiple areas of project development including site identification and evaluation, lease negotiations and permitting, and due diligence reviews.
In his previous roles he worked as a Solar Land Agent for DF Real Estate and as a Land Use associate for Network Building and Consulting. In these roles, Azmar coordinated with the many stakeholders involved in securing sites for cell tower and solar project development including landowners, local, county and state regulators. Azmar is a graduate of East Carolina University with a BS in Applied Economics and a minor in Business Administration.
Azmar resides in Richmond and enjoys tennis, running and travel outside of his work life.
